Happy Monday Ya’ll well almost happy Tuesday!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, mine was a little bit of an adventure. Nico and I went to San Francisco for a car show and ended up waiting in line for 4.5 hours and the show ended up starting 2.5 hours late… not really a happy camper… but I did finish the top of the duvet cover I was working on so that I could put it together today. So the car show may have sucked but crafting progress was made so that I could finally put together a tutorial!
So for the Pintuck Duvet Cover you will need:
- Sheets (the size of the cover you are trying to make, mine is a queen)
- Sewing machine
- Needle & Thread- for hand sewing
- Buttons or some other type of closure
- Ruler
- Marker
1.Lay the sheet out on a flat surface
Make marks on the sheet 12” apart with the marker (You can make them closer or farther apart but 12” is what I used)
Hand sew the pintucks- take the mark in hand, pull up, roll the fabric into a coil, sew the coil in place
Repeat until all pintucks are sewn
Sew the pintuck sheet onto the second sheet leaving the bottom edge open
Sew buttonholes and buttons on the bottom of the cover
Wash to remove the marker , dry as normal and voila!
It is a rather simple process just the pintucks take some time but once you finish the pintucks the rest takes no time at all! I even discovered that my machine will sew the button in place and it is seriously amazing!
So one thing is now off my to do list and moved to my blog roll :]
Now I just need to work on the quilts, pillowcases and some other projects I have in mind!
I hope you all enjoyed the tutorial and if you have any questions let me know!
Have a great week!

It takes a while but it ends up looking good. Make sure to sew the pintuck a couple times and use a heavy thread so they stay in place :)
